Breaking from the Gate

Breaking From the Gate contains the random musings of Todd Bowker, who began his career in racing by sweeping floors and doing laundry in the Jock’s Room at Ak-Sar-Ben in 1981.

Seems like only yesterday.

Since then he has aimlessly wandered from track to track in various capaciites, including several stints as a Racing Official and Simulcast Coordinator. His last “real job” was running AmericaTab, which became one of the largest account wagering companies in the U.S. It was later purchased by Churchill Downs is now TwinSpires.com.

He lives just outside of Columbus, Ohio, and now consults on racing and gaming projects for several clients … when not playing golf or working on this blog.
